How Are You Inspiring To Others?

Well, Spring is in full gear.

The flowers are seducing the bees. The deer are romping in the woods near my house above the Pacific.

So, I’m asking you… what are YOU doing to improve your social and sexual life? Are you static? Are you saying the things you’ve always said? Parroting what seems to work for other kinds of men? Are you stuck in habits of the familiar simply because you they are familiar? And aching to break out into a new phase of your life, but you don’t know how? The key question as always — are you evolving?

My personal and professional theme for 2009 has been evolution. Not the kind with feathers and differentiated beaks, but the kind that has you, as a man who may be part of my community, develop a stronger spine, a deeper heart and a more expansive, uniquely individual purpose.

If you are interested in attracting a quality partner, you’ve got to ask yourself: what makes you a more integral and powerful man? How are you an INSPIRATION to women — not because of what you demonstrate to them, but because of who you authentically are.

There is no point in being part of my learning community if you are not going to grow into being a more resonant, magnetic presence and a more purposeful, admirable man among men. Because ultimately, women want to ADMIRE you. More that that, they NEED to admire you if they are not going to find you boring, narcissistic and uninspired, sooner or later.

So let me ask you something...

What are women going to admire you for? For what aspects of your life do they admire you now? I’m reading a great book called “Igniting Inspiration,” right now by an author (and new friend) named John Marshall Roberts.

His book is about effective communication and how to INSPIRE different types of people, specifically for public speaking and persuasion.

If my work about online and offline communication is about anything, it’s about taking your life and your attractiveness to new levels. If you’ve read my book on online dating — now revised and improved as Deep Attraction Online, then you already know that I counsel that you communicate how you SERVE others in your profile, through your family, your work, your vision of life. Because that, believe it or not, is who you really are — it is your heroic core, even if you might think that how you help people isn’t that important.

About midway through John’s book, he details four specific types of people, and what it is they “serve.” I want to share it with you because I think it might help you articulate how YOU serve the world (although you don’t think of it that way, yet).

As you read this list below, think hard about your life. Chances are you embody one of these types more than the others. In this is a clue to what women may find admirable about you — and a clue to the type of woman who you would easily connect with. The four categories of Service are:

1.	Purpose

2.	Profit

3.	People

4.	Planet

Let me put this into language that might reflect what’s in your head, and could shine through your online profile. Think how you can take the spirit of each of these “types: and translate it into how you communicate yourself, both online and offline:

PURPOSE — “I am all about principles. I know right from wrong and I’ll die defending what I know to be right and good. I am a bottom line person who believes that we are not here to indulge ourselves, but to build something good, right and strong. If that means self-sacrifice, fine with me. I’m not about me. I’m a soldier for the good.” (Archetype: The keeper of order, the strong king, the protector)

PROFIT — “I believe in individual expression and I am the kind of guy who is going to get out there and create what I want. There is nothing more glorious than a person picking himself up by his bootstraps and shaping the world around his will. If people were honest, everyone would go for what he wants, but I understand that others are scared or weak or just can’t muster up ambition. I am on a journey and what I value in a woman is someone who “gets” that I’m here to make my mark in the world and will be by my side as I do so.

(Archetype: The self-made man, the entrepreneur, the business leader)

PEOPLE — “I am an evolved and evolving man, who has no interest in the winner-take-all approach to life. I know that success is win-win, and that every person deserves respect and to be heard. I don’t make decisions rashly. I listen. I try to understand what the other is saying, and I am happiest when helping to bring people into alignment and progress. I love women who are compassionate and spiritual, who have a great love not only for their men, but for humanity as a whole.”

(Archetype: the wise man, the fair king)

PLANET — “This planet is in peril and the systems that are running things are poisoning our food, weakening our bodies and setting neighbor against neighbor. The old ways of doing things must end and I consider myself a spiritual warrior for the evolution of the species and as a defender of the health of the planet.”

(Archetype: the visionary, wizard archetype, the protector not only of family and town but of all beings)

Do any of these resonate with you? Or do you embody other archetypes that you believe women find admirable? (If you have others, write me at Adam@deepattractiononline and I’ll share them with the community.)

Note that these “types” move fom the more traditionally masculine to a more “new masculine.” Try not to judge the ones that you are not. They are all valid and all have admirable qualities — and each will resonate with a different category of woman. Namely, the category that is best suited for your — and her — happiness. So, here’s your assignment, today…

1.	Own Your Virtue: If you ever apologize for who you are — don’t. Not everyone has the same values, and what you really want is a woman who admires you for your category of values.

2.	See women who already admire your kind of masculine service. It’s easier to connect and you are more likely to create a happy partnership

3.	Online Profile - work what makes you admirable into your profile. If you’re unsure how to do that, write me. I am considering running a marathon telephone workshop one day soon to help guys who want to learn how to do that. But only if there are enough guys who express interest. Meanwhile, be sure to make DeepAttractionOnline.com work for you — think beyond mere attraction. Communicate what makes you admirable as a man.

I will be including John Marshall Roberts in my monthly training program at www.TheCompleteAttractor… where we focus on how to INSPIRE a woman (by living an inspired life). We do this so that you can inspire the best kind of woman to love you.

Because when it comes to intimacy, it doesn’t get better — or more inspirational — than that.

There is nothing more invigorating than the love and support of a great woman. Aim high.

And live the life you dream of…

What do I mean by “THIS”? Read on, you won’t be sorry…

Sometimes you have to just stop and take stock of your life. 9/11 was one of those days.

Last week, a friend of my son was messing around with pills for fun after a party. She died. 16 years old.

Some moments in life shock us into realizing what is important:

1.	Gratitude for what you have

2.	The people who love you

3.	Your health

4.	And most of all — what GIFT are you going to give to the world while you still have breath?

For the last year, I have been re-thinking my whole program for men (and for women) around dating. Learning to spark attraction is an essential first step. Yes. Learning to connect with another human being — or rapport — is an essential step. Yes.

But to me, none of those mean anything, ultimately, without taking that third step — which is to learn how to INSPIRE devotion. And that means living an INSPIRATIONAL LIFE.

Sound like too hard a task? Then check this out…

My friend, Sean Stephenson - the “Three Foot Giant.” Sean was supposed to be dead when he was a baby, stricken with brittle bone disease. But, against all odds and wheelchair-bound, Sean turns 30 this week, is featured on THE FRONT PAGE OF THE CHICAGO TRIBUNE — and is taping his first TV show out here in LA.

I want you to read the article about Sean and I give the link below. But I want you to focus on what is, to me, the one key line in the article. It’s when his mother asked him, after yet another of his 200 broken bones before he was 18 (!!!) - “Is this going to be a gift or a burden?”

This part is for my men readers…I want you to ask yourself that question about any and all hardships in your life today. And I want you to ask how you can turn any of your burdens into a gift. Not just to yourself, but to all people, certainly to the women in your life — and to the extraordinary woman that you would like to inspire into devotion to you. I’ve met so many guys who get hung up on what they think is their burden. Sean, like so many of the other teachers I bring forward in my The Complete Attractor Series, is a living GIFT to help get us through our sticking points. And break us into more open, happier, more confident and easeful — and more successful lives. Here is the link to the article on Sean: READ IT HERE …

And then reflect: how can you turn your life into a gift to others? There are few things that will make you happier, and few things that will make you more attractive, naturally, effortlessly, deeply — to the kinds of women you most profoundly desire to bring into your life.

As I work hard to show in all my books and programs, for both men and for women, aim to flow energy OUTWARD. Be the source of good feeling. Don’t draw attention to yourself for the sake of yourself. And whatever it is you want to get, turn it around, and GIVE instead.

Give the thing, the feeling, the quality you’d most like to receive.

It’s what makes a life worth living. It’s a key element in making it… inspirational.

In celebration of Sean’s 30th Birthday, of Sean himself, I urge you to take action, identify what you think is a burden in your life, and see how you can turn it around…

From feeling bad about something in your life, to making someone else feel glad to know you. The way I feel not only glad, but privileged, to count Sean among my closest friends.

Be sure to get his new book, Get Off Your But! . Its not just anybody who gets his forward written by Tony Robbins!

The lesson I find in the letter I received below is: GIVE YOUR GIFT!

Even if you’re speaking into the void. Even if it finds ears many months later. About a year ago, I did a podcast for Personal Life Media based around ideas in Don Miguel Ruiz’s work (The Four Agreements and The Mastery of Love). Today, it found its way to someone who needed it.

Here’s the note I received today:

Dear Adam,

Your podcast, “The track of love and the track of fear” is helping me get through a tough time.

I met a man online that I thought was going to date me forever, and after 3 months he

informed me he was too busy, all the while “finding women to flirt with” on Facebook (so his post stated).

My two grown children spent mother’s day with their father.

My 16 year old has not been home in 3 years (she lives with her dad).

I found out today that my 18 year old will not graduate from school.

I am losing a client that brings in $3000/month due to the auto industry bullshit.

My home is in foreclosure.

I need love.

thanks for listening, Adam.

**

I responded to her right away…

Dear G,

Thanks for you note

Remember — it’s not so much that you need love. You ARE love.

Let it flow from you always, even in the face of fear and disappointment with the way the world works - which is always going to be out of your control.

Whatever else happens, you have the choice to love.

Good luck with the details of it all.

We can’t always see it right away but the truth appears over and over: one door closes, another opens…

The more you become the flow of love, the more and better doors will open for you.

- Adam

**

This is what is in our power every moment. Do we love or do we clench up? Do we allow love to flow between us and others/the world. Or do we hold back our love?

Which do you think will bring you the life you want sooner?

By THOMAS L. FRIEDMAN

Sometimes the satirical newspaper The Onion is so right on, I cant resist quoting from it. Consider this faux article from June 2005 about Americas addiction to Chinese exports:

Chen Hsien, an employee of Fenghua Ningbo Plastic Works Ltd., a plastics factory that manufactures lightweight household items for Western markets, expressed his disbelief Monday over the sheer amount of [garbage] Americans will buy. Often, when were assigned a new order for, say, salad shooters, I will say to myself, Theres no way that anyone will ever buy these. … One month later, we will receive an order for the same product, but three times the quantity. How can anyone have a need for such useless [garbage]? I hear that Americans can buy anything they want, and I believe it, judging from the things Ive made for them, Chen said. And I also hear that, when they no longer want an item, they simply throw it away. So wasteful and contemptible.”

Lets today step out of the normal boundaries of analysis of our economic crisis and ask a radical question: What if the crisis of 2008 represents something much more fundamental than a deep recession? What if its telling us that the whole growth model we created over the last 50 years is simply unsustainable economically and ecologically and that 2008 was when we hit the wall when Mother Nature and the market both said: No more.

We have created a system for growth that depended on our building more and more stores to sell more and more stuff made in more and more factories in China, powered by more and more coal that would cause more and more climate change but earn China mor and more dollars to buy more and more U.S. T-bills so America would have more and more money to build more and more stores and sell more and more stuff that would employ more and more Chinese …We cant do this anymore.

He said it looked like Hitler was going to take over the world. The “greatest generation” hadn’t yet been born into mythology, the American Collossus hadn’t made landfall in Europe, The Eastern Front hadn’t turned — and all looked bleak.

Today - yes, we have uncertainty. The Citibanks have collapsed. People’s savings have been devastated. Washington is trying to revive an obviously failed system. Republicans - AMAZINGLY - are touting deregulation as a virtue. Let me remind them of a 2nd Century Mishna passage that says more or less that you need a strong government, or people “will run wild like wolves.

Despite the confusion and uncertainty — we have food — although sprayed with toxicity (also amazingly, a commonly accepted reality!). We have iPhones. We have incredible abundance all around. So it ain’t 1933.

And it ain’t 1942.

But it is a time to SERIOUSLY rethink how we… do business as a species.

Rapacious capitalism isn’t going to sustain us (neither will rapacious socialism or communism, for any die-hard reds out there!).

Rapaciousness won’t keep us alive on a planet we love — one that chirps, sqwaks, trills, warbles and burbles (I suppose we can now supply all the “tweets” we need.)

Isolation won’t serve us. And social media is making a change here.

We need to rethink it all.

We need to rethink who is my family? Who is my community? How expansive can I make these categories? How many people can I include in the One? How many species?

All sentient beings, anyone? Mr. Buddha was on to something.

I am haunted by a phrase that came to me while I was immersed in Esmerelda, my faithful hot tub: The Economy of Nurture.

How do we restructure our economies, our buying patterns, our business life, our family life, our eating habits (any fish left in the ocean? Anyone? Anyone?) — to align ourselves with what we TRULY ARE: spiritually yearning beings, craving CONNECTION with nature and each other, and CRAVING a sense of leading a MEANINGFUL as well as a PLEASURABLE life.

Do you have any ideas about this? I am thinking about it daily. I love new horizons, and this is a good time to peer over what’s been to what could be.

I am inpsired by Daniel Pinchbeck and his fledgling Evolver.net, as well as by Satyen Raja and his latest thoughts on building nurturing communities from the ground up.

Let me hear your voice on this. A global crisis is a terrible thing to waste.

Peace, Love, Joy and Cabernet…
