Adam Gilad on “How To Be An Inspirational Man”

How Are You Inspiring To Others?

How Are You Inspiring To Others?

Well, Spring is in full gear.

The flowers are seducing the bees. The deer are romping in the woods near my house above the Pacific.

So, I’m asking you… what are YOU doing to improve your social and sexual life? Are you static? Are you saying the things you’ve always said? Parroting what seems to work for other kinds of men? Are you stuck in habits of the familiar simply because you they are familiar? And aching to break out into a new phase of your life, but you don’t know how? The key question as always — are you evolving?

My personal and professional theme for 2009 has been evolution. Not the kind with feathers and differentiated beaks, but the kind that has you, as a man who may be part of my community, develop a stronger spine, a deeper heart and a more expansive, uniquely individual purpose.

If you are interested in attracting a quality partner, you’ve got to ask yourself:  what makes you a more integral and powerful man?  How are you an INSPIRATION to women — not because of what you demonstrate to them, but because of who you authentically are.

There is no point in being part of my learning community if you are not going to grow into being a more resonant, magnetic presence and a more purposeful, admirable man among men. Because ultimately, women want to ADMIRE you. More that that, they NEED to admire you if they are not going to find you boring, narcissistic and uninspired, sooner or later.

So let me ask you something.. Continue reading ‘Adam Gilad on “How To Be An Inspirational Man”’

Two Wheels, One Soaring Spirit

"Two Wheels, One Soaring Spirit"

*****************”Is THIS going to be a gift or a burden?”****************

What do I mean by “THIS”?  Read on, you won’t be sorry…

Sometimes you have to just stop and take stock of your life. 9/11 was one of those days.

Last week, a friend of my son was messing around with pills for fun after a party. She died. 16 years old.

Some moments in life shock us into realizing what is important:

1. Gratitude for what you have

2. The people who love you

3. Your health

4. And most of all — what GIFT are you going to give to the world while you still have breath?

For the last year, I have been re-thinking my whole program for men (and for women) around dating. Learning to spark attraction is an essential first step. Yes. Learning to connect with another human being — or rapport — is an essential step. Yes.

But to me, none of those mean anything, ultimately, without taking that third step — which is to learn how to INSPIRE devotion. And that means living an INSPIRATIONAL LIFE.

Sound like too hard a task? Then check this out… Continue reading ‘Adam Gilad Is Grateful for Sean Stephenson’

Adam Gilad and Thomas Friedman On The Same Page

By THOMAS L. FRIEDMAN

Sometimes the satirical newspaper The Onion is so right on, I cant resist quoting from it. Consider this faux article from June 2005 about Americas addiction to Chinese exports:

Chen Hsien, an employee of Fenghua Ningbo Plastic Works Ltd., a plastics factory that manufactures lightweight household items for Western markets, expressed his disbelief Monday over the sheer amount of [garbage] Americans will buy. Often, when were assigned a new order for, say, salad shooters, I will say to myself, Theres no way that anyone will ever buy these. … Continue reading ‘Adam Gilad and Thomas Friedman On The Same Page’

A Global Crisis is a Terrible Thing to Waste

My father - an extreme moderate - used to always remind me when things got bad that NOTHING compared to 1942. He said it looked like Hitler was going to take over the world. The “greatest generation” hadn’t yet been born into mythology, the American Collossus hadn’t made landfall in Europe, The Eastern Front hadn’t turned — and all looked bleak.

Today - yes, we have uncertainty. The Citibanks have collapsed. People’s savings have been devastated. Washington is trying to revive an obviously failed system. Republicans - AMAZINGLY - are touting deregulation as a virtue. Let me remind them of a 2nd Century Mishna passage that says more or less that you need a strong government, or people “will run wild like wolves.

Despite the confusion and uncertainty — we have food — although sprayed with toxicity (also amazingly, a commonly accepted reality!). We have iPhones. We have incredible abundance all around. So it ain’t 1933.

And it ain’t 1942.

But it is a time to SERIOUSLY rethink how we… Continue reading ‘A Global Crisis is a Terrible Thing to Waste’

Crazy Days

Are we at the brink of collapse or the brink of a new cycle of human evolution?

Are we going to rebuild a rapacious old style capitalist system or build a new kind of capitalism that serves both ingenuity AND the common good?

Are we going to fall into food riots or produce organic local cornucopiae?

Bueller?  Bueller?  Anyone?

Fearless Lover, Dater and Father in Vegas

So here I am at the New Media Expo — learning all about the wacky and wild world of blogging and podcasting.

So here I am with the publisher of of my podcast, The Fearless Lover, Susan and Tim Bratton of Personal Life Media, sitting in the hallway, talking to my beloved about my 17 year old and breaking trust and gaining trust and guiding him into the manhood as a man of integrity.

Integrity. Unlike television, with its shameful “news” divisions, false dramas and lost little white girls, and unlike television with its bloviating gasbags like Rush and Hannity — the new world of social media demands integrity. You will be outed if you are a liar. Character counts. Its a virtual community, yes, but the people are REAL.

And no matter what you’re posting or twittering or digging, it goes back to the oft-ignored slogan of the Hard Rock Hotel out my window here — “Love All. Serve All.”

And I am on the phone in a cavernous hall in Vegas - of all places - talking integrity… Continue reading ‘Fearless Lover, Dater and Father in Vegas’

Affiliate Summit, Passion, Heart and Social Media

I am just packing up in Boston. I spoke at the Affiliate Summit on how to create a story, how to create a human element, and how to use the work of Joseph Campbell to tap into people’s emotional core in order to communicate how your product or service might help them alleviate pain in their lives.

In other words - using all the skills of a screenwriter to help marketers communicate in a human rather than in a b.s. or salesy way.

It was gratifying and folks wuz grateful — people get so lost in the minutia of their tech boundaries and internal marketing matrixes — they forget that we are all just people talking to people.

And that we all share the same slopes into grief and sadness, and gaze up at the same winding pathways to love, connection, meaning, legacy and hope.

I loved all the twittering and the tweets, though I wonder where all that is going. People seem giddy with this new toy.

Also touching — the enthusiasm of the new gen of social media freaks! Maria Thurrell, the fireball behind Media Awaken, social media Pr firm for non profits and other value-positive enterprises brings amazing intelligence and heart to this world. And Chrissie Brodigan - another nebula of heart and intelligence -
of BasketCase Media — a Social Media Product Strategist.

And Mr. Dave Evans - we have fun and profits in our future.

Special thanks to the amazing Lisa Riolo for making this all possible for me. Some people are just so innately good and thoughtful, you wonder how the world got into this state.

Ultimate Relationship Tip For Fun and Profit

My lovely friend Christel Hughes, author of Be Love To Find Love, asked me this morning for one quick top relationship tip — and my head was buried in a marketing teaching web-site.

Here’s what I said — and where these two worlds meet:

“Treat your intimate partner like your best customer.  Exceed her expectations and give awe-inspiring value at every turn — (which will help you maximize your return on investment).”

Mercenary?  Or spiritually deep?

Or both?
